Need help in drive c: and d: label?
Norton is one of the most over rated peices of crap ever created
Try using Avast its free unlike norton and its picked up alot of crap that AVG didnt find (AVG is good dont give up on it)
Reply:i have dealt with this virus before and believe me its difficult to kill.
what you should do is a system restore, it can be found in the start%26gt;%26gt;programs%26gt;%26gt;accessories%26gt;%26gt;system tools%26gt;%26gt;system restore.
and restore your computer to a day befor your friend brought the virus, remember this will restore the system to that date!
once that is done you should get yourself a good antivirus program.
the two that i recommend are kaspersky and eTrust .
both of them can be found @ http://www.softmall.org/detail.php?id=59... and http://www.softmall.org/detail.php?id=71...
Reply:AVG is overrated..
Go out and purchase Norton Antivirus 2007, this program will scan for and kill whatever virus you have in your system.
It is not letting you access the drive because that part of the virus has cut off access, (standard procedure for a virus that wants to destroy).
Get a better antivirus and it will solve your problem.
If it still doesnt, shoot me an email and I will help you further.

Reply:You must not try to open it, it's better to delete it. Now i think your computer is infected again. you need to reformat your hard disk again (both c: and d:) or better to change your partition to be sure that there is no trace of that virus, and try to perform a clean install (wipe it all).
Reply:If you are not tech savvy i suggest you get a guy who knows how to dance around your registry. What you are saying appears to be a registry issue. Even if you destroyed the virus the payload is still floating around the system... Lurking in the registry. You need a registry cleaning software. Google that in and download free opensource stuff.. This is a registry issue. if you want you can copy out exactly the virus and check out the tech forums as to how other people cleaned their registry of this bugger you are talking about.
