Problem with A/C Blows air only on Max and not cold HELP !!?

I have an acura Tl 1996 2.5 4 dr. The a/c was not working (blower) I changed the a/c unit. Now it only works when you put it on Max (when you press once nothing happens,twice nothing happens,three nothing until 4 (max)) then starts blowing out air. The air is regular air is not cold at all. What can be wrong with it? I changed blower and resistance. When you press 1 you feel the car kind of turns on a bit more but in about 2 secs it just goes back to normal ( as if when you press 1 time to go to low it tries to turn on the compressor but then it just stops in 2 secs) Any help please its too hot to be driving with no a.c. Thanks in advance for the help.

maybe you need to take it to a dealer...you obviously did something wrong. (it may not have been the blower at all...coulda been the condenser or thermostat....) it's always a good thing to know what you're doing before you do it and make more trouble for yourself than you imagine.
Reply:maybe you need to press the "a/c" because wen its not lit it means that it just blows air
Reply:will one thing i got tell you is that you should check what's wrong with it before you work on the car and i don't know it's maybe your a/c unit don't go and try fix it your self go to a car shop and ask them till them what's going on maybe they give you tips and till you what's wrong
