Problem with A/C Blows air only on Max and not cold HELP !!?

I have an acura Tl 1996 2.5 4 dr. The a/c was not working (blower) I changed the a/c unit. Now it only works when you put it on Max (when you press once nothing happens,twice nothing happens,three nothing until 4 (max)) then starts blowing out air. The air is regular air is not cold at all. What can be wrong with it? I changed blower and resistance. When you press 1 you feel the car kind of turns on a bit more but in about 2 secs it just goes back to normal ( as if when you press 1 time to go to low it tries to turn on the compressor but then it just stops in 2 secs) Any help please its too hot to be driving with no a.c. Thanks in advance for the help.

You changed your a/c but did you recharged it? Did you look if the compressor is turning? On the switch part, whoever changed your blower must have not plugged it all the way and only the high setting is making connection.
Reply:I had trouble with mine it needed gassing up still didn't work as a wire was loose on the loom.
